The National Speakers Association Honors Lenora Billings-Harris, CSP, with the 2016 Cavett Award

The National Speakers Association (NSA), the premier organization for professional speakers, presented Lenora Billings-Harris, CSP with the 2016 Cavett Award at the 2016 Influence conference in Phoenix AZ.

The Cavett Award is the highest honor NSA bestows on its members. It is presented annually to one professional speaker whose accomplishments over the years have reflected outstanding credit, respect, honor and admiration on NSA and the speaking profession. The award is named after NSA’s late founder, Cavett Robert, CSP, CPAE, whose illustrious career helped guide and inspire many NSA members.

“Lenora Billings-Harris, CSP taught NSA, Ubuntu: ‘I am because you are; You are because I am.’ I don’t know if Cavett Robert ever heard of this (Zulu) proverb, but it is the essence of his vision for the association he founded,” said Chris Clarke-Epstein, CSP, 2014 Cavett Award winner. “For the over 28 years of active involvement with NSA, Lenora has embodied the Spirit of Cavett in her many national and global leadership positions, her local chapter support activities, and most importantly, her meaningful individual member interactions. I can think of no one more deserving of the 2016 Cavett Award than Lenora.”
